My hope for these websites is to provide an accessible format for teachers to utilize online resources and communicate effective strategies with each other. Teachers are constantly learning and expanding their Teacher Tool Boxes. It is important to share resources as the end result always benefits the students; our main purpose for teaching. I have shared these with classmates and hope to share these with fellow teachers as well.
Assessing Science Learning
This is a collection of assessments either online, or created by myself for ideas to utilize technology in the assessing of students' learning, specifically in Science. However, many of these assessment styles are conducive for all subjects, but would need to be altered to incorporate those topics. Some assessment types include: TESTS, JOURNAL, PORTFOLIO, SIMULATIONS, CONVERSATIONS, GRAPHIC ORGANIZERS, RESOURCES, and a lesson plan. The website is a work in progress as I am exposed to new ways for assessing students and will reflect those new assessments as I encounter them.

Literacy
This site has been created for teachers to utilize when preparing to discuss and teach literacy. It is organized so that you are able to search through the tabs to the left and gain an understanding of what it is and be linked to additional resources. Each tab has the definition of that topic as well as some important information, key terms, and the stages in which you can expect a student to acquire that skill. These tabs include literacy topics for teaching and assessing: CONCEPTS OF PRINT, PHONOLOGICAL AWARENESS, SOUND-LETTER RELATIONSHIPS, MORPHOLOGY, FLUENCY, VOCABULARY, COMPREHENSION, COMPOSITION/WRITING, GENRE KNOWLEDGE, MOTIVATION, and STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS.
Math
This is a concept map that I have created for the basic concepts in teaching mathematics to students. I was prompted to do so through a course my senior year; to organize my knowledge of math. I have connected the ideas and readings, as well as making reference to the authors of the readings for future reference. Most of the material came from the book, Children's Mathematics: Cognitively Guided Instruction.
Concept maps of extremely useful in classrooms and I fully intend to use programs such as this, bubbl.us, with students to organize their thoughts about a story or genre or countless other topics. By creating them online, students are able to more easily adapt or adjust their concept map, or provide links to online resources.
